So where did this whole boudoir photography thing start? You might be surprised by the answer…
Hey ladies! So, you know how we all have that one thing we’re super passionate about? For me, it’s boudoir photography. I started my boudoir photography in 2019, and let me tell you, it’s been an incredible ride!
How It All Started with Boudoir Photography
I started out as a portrait photographer in 2011, when someone asked me to take their senior pictures. They were terrible, haha! But she paid me! And I figured if she paid me, other people might too!
I continued photographing through high school and college and went right into the corporate world once I graduated.
2020 hit and I knew I didn’t want to sit at a desk for the next 30 years, so I left my job and went full-time with my photo business.
Around the same time, I had one person ask if I did boudoir photography, and I said sure! Since then I’ve photographed over 200 women and boudoir has become a huge part of my business. There’s something so magical about helping someone see themselves in a new, confident light.
It’s not just about the photos; it’s about the experience and the empowerment that comes with it.
Growing with My Boudoir Clients
Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of working with so many amazing women. Even when the sessions start off with nerves and anxieties, by the end it’s just like two girls having a girls’ day! I promise. It’s a team effort to create something beautiful that reflects my client’s unique personality and style. Having your hair and makeup professionally done doesn’t hurt either (this is included in all my sessions btw) 😉
And honestly, it’s so rewarding to see my client’s reactions when they see their photos for the first time at their ordering appointments.
Why I Love Boudoir Photography
One of the best parts of my job is seeing my client’s reactions when they realize just how gorgeous they are. It’s like, “Yes, girl! That’s you!” Boudoir photography is all about celebrating you and your body, and I love being a part of that journey. Typically during the session, I’ll share a few peeks with you of the back of the camera so you actually believe me when I say you look amazing!
Fast forward to today, and I’ve got 5+ years of experience under my belt. I’ve really honed my skills and developed a style that blends artistry with a deep understanding of personal empowerment. My goal is to make every session comfortable, fun, and all about you.
I’m so excited to keep doing what I love and to keep meeting amazing women like you. Boudoir photography is more than just a job for me—it’s my passion. I can’t wait to see what the future holds and to continue creating beautiful, empowering art with my clients.
So, if you’ve ever thought about doing a boudoir session, let’s chat! I’d be honored to be part of your journey towards self-discovery and empowerment.
Cheers to celebrating our fabulous selves!
Love,
Carly
